iDJ Dave
Tradtional DJing is quite closed. The DJ controls track selection and guests rarely have a say. Some venues and DJs allow a guests to make a request, but without knowing what’s in the DJ’s virtual library this can be a rather insufficient exercise.
iDJ Dave is a concept that provides more openness to the crowd and allows input on track selection from the dance floor. A good DJ can read a crowd, but with power of digital technology. DJs are carrying much more music around than before, and sometimes that perfect track gets missed. With many more people digging through my virtual library I will gather the DJ’s most important people’s opinion - the guests!
By using the power of WIFI, iTunes DJ and the Apple Remote app for iPhone / iPod touch I can provide means for the crowd to request and vote for songs from your virtual library. In the end the ultimate control on what’s played is still up to the DJ.
